We love our communities.

We also love and care about the members we serve. By helping build and maintain strong communities through our Ozarks Cares program, we can help improve the lives of our members.

And it’s all for that one simple reason. We care.

Through Ozarks Cares, we keep three main areas of focus in mind.

Volunteering is extremely important part of our culture. Our employees donate nearly 1,000 hours every year through the volunteer program. Those hours don’t come close to reflecting the actual time our employees spend working – on their own time – within our communities to make a difference.

Learn more about our some of the great work our employees are doing through the volunteer program below. We volunteer because we care.

Giving has always been a major part of who we are. It’s in our DNA. Since 2002, we have raised almost $300,000 in charitable giving, half of that via donations directly from employees’ pockets.

We believe we have an important responsibility to help improve our communities and the lives of our members.

That goes beyond offering world-class service.

For example, in 2016, we have a goal of raising $20,000 to donate to local charities through our Ozarks Cares Give Campaign. Our employees have already begun to make significant pledges and we are looking forward to hitting our goal.

We can’t wait to see what this year has in store.

We also feel that it’s our duty to do our part in educating our younger members. Each year we sponsor four local high school juniors to attend the Electric Cooperative Youth Tour in Washington D.C.

We also give out more than $25,000 in scholarships to local high school seniors each year. In addition, we proud to be a part of the great electric vehicle program.

We want to make a difference in the lives of our youth. They are, without a doubt, the future of our communities, and we value the role we are able to play in their education.
