High Voltage Lineman Scholarship Application

DEADLINE TO APPLY APRIL 15

Ozarks Electric will award a scholarship to one graduating senior to attend Arkansas State University at Newport, Arkansas for a High Voltage Lineman certification. This scholarship is open to any graduating high school senior or recent high school graduate (up to two years post-graduation) living in Ozarks Electric Cooperative’s service territory.

The value of this scholarship is $7,970 and the training is for one calendar year. The High Voltage Lineman certification is equivalent to 42 college credits and provides complete training for  a career as an electrical line worker. The scholarship pays for the books, tuition, equipment and fees for the student’s training. The recipient will be responsible for room and board.

Students who wish to submit a paper application should contact their high school guidance counselor to obtain an application or download an applicationPDF Document

Fill out the application below and have at least one letter of recommendation emailed to scholarships@ozarksecc.com by April 15 at 5 p.m.

At least one letter of recommendation must be emailed to scholarships@ozarksecc.com by 5 p.m. on April 15, coming directly from teachers or community contacts. These letters may not come from family members.

**Applications must be turned in to Ozarks Electric Cooperative by 5:00 p.m., on April 15.**
