Ozarks Cares Off to a Running Start
April 2015

Earlier this year, we unveiled our new community initiative, Ozarks Cares, focused on getting our employees involved in the communities we serve.

Saturday, April 25, 2015, was the first event to carry the Ozarks Cares banner, and we couldn’t have been more proud of the turnout. Almost 30 employees were out early that morning to support the 17th annual Komen Ozark Race for the Cure.

Our employees proudly wore their orange Ozarks Cares shirts and raced, jogged and walked the 3.1-mile track. It was a huge success for everyone involved. The event has raised more than $650,000 to this point, and we were proud to be just a part of a wonderful cause.

As part of the Ozarks Cares program, each department within our organization chooses an event in which to participate. Our Marketing and Member Relations department was eager to get the ball rolling and decided on this wonderful cause in our community. The enthusiasm was infectious as employees from other departments participated as well.

The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure is just the first event of many more to come as we continue to build our volunteer efforts to do our part in the communities we call home.

We volunteer because we care.
