2015 Food Drive a Great Success

This year, as part of our annual food drive, our employees helped the local backpack programs in the West Fork school system by collecting items to send home with children for after school and on weekends.

As in years past, it was a great success.

Did you know that many of the kids in our area are only able to eat while they are at school? Backpack programs help alleviate this issue and provide nourishment for children while not in school.

Pat Thaler, West Fork Elementary principal and Robin Harney, West Fork Elementary counselor accepted the donations from our own Penny Storms and Hayley Koop.

“The employees of Ozarks Electric always do such a good job of coming together to support such worthy causes,” said Mitchell Styles, community outreach and education coordinator.

“I’m always so pleasantly surprised by the generosity of our employees. We were able to provide such a large amount of food to help these children through the holiday season.”
