Ozarks Electric wants to recognize students who are doing the right thing. In partnership with local media sponsors we have started a Student of the Month program to honor students who represent one or more of Touchstone Energy’s core values - Integrity, Innovation, Accountability and Commitment to Community. If you know a student who displays these values, please nominate them today!

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Student of the Month program is sponsored by Ozarks Electric Cooperative along with Hot Mix 101.9, The Morning News and KFSM.

SCHEDULE

The program begins in September and will continue through May, awarding eight Student of the Month recipients and one Student of the Year.

NOMINATIONS

Nominations will be accepted from any school faculty member. Any sixth or seventh grade student can be recognized. To nominate a student, please fill out the online nomination form below. When you have completed the form, hit Submit and it will be sent directly to Ozarks Electric.

Nominations need to be in by the first of each month.

SELECTIONS

The program is to recognize those students who are “doing the right thing.” Each month, school faculty may submit names of students whom they feel represent one or more of Touchstone Energy’s core values – Integrity, Innovation, Accountability and Commitment to Community. This includes students who demonstrate good citizenship, have helped other students, have overcome difficult personal circumstances or done something special or heroic in the community. Please give specific examples.

Monthly selections will be made from nominations received by the deadline. Representatives from each sponsor are welcome to be involved in each selection. Nominations will not expire until the end of the school year (selections may be made from previous nomination periods).

AWARDS

Awards will include recognition by media sponsors, presentation of a certificate and a gift certificate valued at $25. In May, a Student of the Year will be selected from all of the monthly winners.
